After living for four years in Montana and four in Washington state, I felt the undenigable sense that it was time to return home to Georgia. I would not truly feel at home, were I not getting my hands dirty, making something of the farm on which I was raised. Thus, this is my current lot in life: trying to be a small-time farmer and at the same time do whatever else it takes to pay my bills.
I have an expensive degree (expensive to me at least) in journalism and a minor in wildlife biology from the University of Montana. This was the result of a somewhat naive desire to write for hunting magazines. After a brief time actually doing so and then three years of working for the Boy Scouts of America, I have yet to truly figure out what I want to be when I grow up, but I think I may be onto something here on the farm
